I grew up in Central Alberta and spent a ton of time at our family farm near Sylvan Lake. When Kalista and Grant described their beautiful summer country wedding to me, I knew it was a great fit! I went out the day before and explored all of the range roads near their family property. From rivers, to bridges, to forests, to canola fields, there are so many amazing options for photos! I know we tend to drive to the mountains or lakes for weekends and holidays, but there is so much beauty all around us in the amazing province.
They had a rock ceremony as a part of their wedding that I had never seen before, and I think it is such an amazing idea! As the guests come in to the ceremony, there are asked to pick a rock and hold onto it during the ceremony. All of the rocks are then gathered and put into a glass container for Kalista and Grant to keep, filled with their guests love and wishes for them. Love it!
